In connection with the most recent Corona Lockdown there will be no canal boat cruises in Amsterdam till the restrictions are lifted. We hope this will be very soon!
We wish you a Merry Christmas!
With 2021 and all of its unfamiliar challenges drawing to an end, we look forward to a brighter and happier 2022 and the more familiar challenges that that will bring.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year from all of us to all of you.
Amsterdam Light Festival #9
The past few months one has been working hard to prepare for the ninth edition of the festival. The organizers have closely followed the developments and regulations concerning Covid-19. Accordingly, they have made adjustments to the shape of the festival; soon it became clear that boat tours aren’t going to happen this year. Unfortunately, onee cannot allow groups of people to come together at all anymore. This results in the painful decision to cancel the Light Walk too this year.
The people of Amsterdam will still encounter light art in the city! The light artworks are realized through collaborations with partners, like the City of Amsterdam, the University of Amsterdam, the Province of North-Holland and many others. The artworks will thus mainly be admired by local residents and passers by, however, the stories of Lucas De Man and the light art will enlighten a much broader audience online.
Together with the artists and their partners the organizers are redirecting all of their energy to this new approach, in order to still be able to enlighten the city during her darkest days.
Bralux Travel and Corona
Firstly, can we start by wishing you and your loved ones well in this challenging time.
Whilst here at Bralux travel we rise to a challenge, even we could never have foreseen the changes that 2020 would bring to our industry.
Apart from the restrictions that society has had to adapt to in general, the joy in things such as travelling or even going out for a meal or a drink with friends, has been removed due to uncertainty over matters of safety and financial stability of service providers.
Here at Bralux Travel we are still working hard on your behalf to ensure that we are able to offer safe and secure trips for your clients by working with local and national Governments, hotels and other suppliers to promote a Covid-19 safe environment.
Suppliers have been checked that they are adhering to both local and national governmental guidelines in the Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg (as applicable) and where necessary they have changed how they offer their services in order to comply.
Of course even the best scientific advice can change at times , so we also check how any change in the guidelines may affect your confirmed groups – meaning that services may have to be altered or in the worst case, cancelled at short notice – however we will always look for a solution where possible.
In 2019 we invested heavily in a new computer and phone system enabling us to be contactable wherever we need to work – at the office or at home.
So, if you need some advice or if you have any enquiries (large or small) for any of the Benelux countries we would be more than happy to send you an offer.
Bralux Travel – Always here when you need us.

Winter in the City
Amsterdam is really blossoming and this summer lots of major construction projects are finally coming to an end. The picture here is the fabulous new glass dome over the passenger extension to Central Station. Close-up it looks colourful, abstract and exciting. From a distance (and the air above!) it spells out – AMSTERDAM. Fabulous!
